Justin joined Plott & French Financial Advisors in May 2022. He is a magna cum laude graduate of Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Finance, where he completed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certification Education Track. Justin has since passed the CFP® examination.
Originating from Woodlawn, Virginia, Justin now lives in Blacksburg, Virginia with his wife Julie. In his free time, he enjoys participating in and watching sports, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. After playing many sports throughout his youth, Justin now focuses his competitive spirit on playing golf any spare moment he gets.
Professionally, Justin enjoys helping his clients better identify their short-term and long-term goals and collaborating with clients to implement strategies to meet those goals. Although retirement is a popular time to meet with a financial planner, Justin believes that people in all stages of life can benefit from working with a financial professional. Justin takes pleasure in working with client goals ranging anywhere from asset management to establishing a comprehensive financial plan.
Justin’s investment philosophy aligns with that of a passive investment strategy, establishing a diversified portfolio designed to weather the long-term ups and downs of the market. Understanding that clients’ financial circumstances are often changing, Justin believes in building ongoing relationships with his clients including quarterly, semi-annual, or annual review meetings.
On weekends, Justin’s church family is especially important to him as he’s the drummer on his church’s praise and worship team. Justin has a strong belief in bringing up the next generation of youth as he serves as a camp counselor every summer for his church conference’s youth camp. Justin also enjoys serving as a mentor for the young boy’s ministry Kids Outdoor Zone.
